Region Alert's Karachi Daily Sitrep assesses the Region Alert Threat Index at HIGH as of June 29, 2026. The security environment in Karachi remains highly volatile following a major militant assault on a Pakistan Rangers camp. Security sources confirmed that one of the attackers received training in Afghanistan, highlighting the persistent threat of transnational terrorism impacting urban centers. In direct response to regional militant activity, Pakistani security forces executed intelligence-based ground operations and calibrated air strikes along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
